Nicola Mangiacapra
The St. Regis Bar
A native of Italy, Nicola Mangiacapra was trained in Milan on sake and in London on international wine and spirit. In 2018, Nicola was recruited by Campari Group as one of the fifteen master bartenders to be trained in a special one-year project on Japanese bartending in Italy. What followed was a globe-trotting journey with stints at Bar High Five in Tokyo and Artesian at The Langham Hotel in London where Mangiacapra attained a worldly understanding of global bar culture. In 2021, Nicola arrived in Hong Kong to oversee four bars at Carlyle & Co. Today, he heads up the drinks programme of The St. Regis Bar Hong Kong in his role as bar manager.
About The St. Regis Bar
An intimate haven discreetly tucked away inside The St Regis Hong Kong, The St Regis Bar features a menu of 17 signature cocktails inspired by New York’s subway and Hong Kong’s tramline, both of which were launched in 1904—the same year that the first St. Regis Hotel was opened in New York. The St. Regis Bar also serves its own rendition of the Bloody Mary called the Canto Mary, which celebrates the quintessence of Cantonese culture using local ingredients like dried tangerine peel, Kowloon soy sauce and Chinese five-spice mix.
