Having lived and worked in Hong Kong since 2014, Devender Sehgal manned the bar at Michelin-starred 8 1⁄2 Otto e Mezzo Bombana as its head mixologist for a number of years before launching the cocktail programme of The Aubrey at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. A passionate advocate for the Japanese category of shochu, Sehgal is a key personality in popularising the underrated category in Hong Kong and beyond, and was named Bartender of the Year at the Tatler Dining Bar Awards 2022.
