Ajit Gurung
The Savory Project
One of Hong Kong's brightest young mixologists. Ajit Gurung has spent the past 12 years perfecting his craft. Born in Nepal and based in Hong Kong, Gurung has tended bar at Lily & Bloom and Stockton, as well as overseeing global bar operations for Mott 32. In December 2020, Gurung joined COA, contributing to its chart-topping success. Together with his partner Jay Khan, Gurung opened The Savory Project in 2023, a venture two years in the making that looks to shake up the cocktail landscape in Hong Kong.

The Savory Project is an ever-evolving craft cocktail bar that features unorthodox ingredients and emphasises savoury and umami notes in the cocktail program. The bar also offers a range of specially crafted non-alcoholic drinks too, creating an equitable space that can be enjoyed by everyone.
