&you is not a single-founder story. It was built by a team, and a formidable one, where every ounce of experience and influence is invaluable.
Emil Eriksen, the Danish entrepreneur at the helm, grew up surrounded by medicine. More than half his family are doctors or medical professors. He spent a decade building ventures across Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East before turning his focus to healthcare.
Eriksen now works alongside his team in twelve-hour days six days a week. He’s someone who believes that true leaders must be at the forefront. Alongside him is Kylie Verzosa, an actor and two-time beauty queen who brings to the table her immense platform and cultural fluency.
The investor roster also consists of some of the most brilliant minds in tech and investors that the country has to offer. Names such as Roland Ros and Rexy Dorado of Kumu, Nicolas Aboitiz, Lui Clavano and Frank Lao lend their valuable experience and expertise. But confidence in &you is not limited to the local arena. They are funded by Fluent Ventures, a US-backed firm with more than 75 unicorn founders and early investor Everywhere Ventures, which boasts hundreds of companies in their portfolio. Users start with a health questionnaire that is conversational, fast and designed to find the information that’s relevant to you. The platform then matches them to the treatment that suits their needs; if a prescription is needed, a licensed Filipino doctor reviews the case or jumps with them on a video call. Once approved, medication arrives discreetly to their doors within 24 to 48 hours, using their in-house logistics.
