Beyond The Billion is the world's first and largest consortium that have pledged to invest and are actively deploying beyond one billion dollars towards women-founded companies. Sarah is determined to see more women at the helm, as she sits on multiple boards, including 131 & Counting, a bipartisan effort encouraging more women to run for office in the US. Named Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and Forbes Under 30 VC, Sarah is a recognized speaker, strategist and commentator on venture capital, startups and women in leadership.
Alicia uses sports as a tool for empowerment with a focus on women and girls, which is seen through her role as founder of the charity, Women In Sports Empowered Hong Kong (“WISE”). She also authored a children's book called Sporty Girl Journals as a way to encourage girls to engage in sport to impart some meaningful lessons from sports participation. Outside of WISE she works in higher education and previously at a private philanthropic foundation. She has also worked in financial services and management consulting.
Kay helps disadvantaged people find solutions to legal and other problems. She founded Equal Justice which won the ALITA Outstanding Legal Innovation/Legal Tech Award. She is also a lawyer and mediator by background and a published author on access to justice.
Manisha Wijesinghe is the executive director of Help for Domestic Workers, an NGO that ensures Hong Kong’s migrant domestic workers are given the protections they deserve. It provides everything from legal help and education on rights to mental health support and an emergency shelter. A member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, she previously worked for Unicef and Save the Children in the country.
Fiona has cultivated a career as a senior legal professional and adviser to a number of leading corporations in Hong Kong and around Asia, as well as start ups and non-profit organizations. Now as CEO of The Women’s Foundation, she combines her senior leadership experience with a passion for TWF’s mission to serve marginalised women and girls in Hong Kong. She has also won the "Outstanding Achievement" award for the Women in Business Law Awards Asia 2020 for her professional accomplishments as well as advocacy and influence.
Channelling his own memories of imagination and Lego-based play, Vincent is reinventing after-school learning programmes, using board games, cards, dice and, Lego, among other gamifying ways to unlock students’ potential and teach crucial life skills. He believes students can learn about startups, social entrepreneurship, design, creative writing, nutrition all through group interaction, strategic thinking and hands-on play.
Ronnie Potel is a conscious capital entrepreneur and a co-founder of the HyphaDao, a global economic and governance system to regenerate the planet. He's passionate about system change, using his knowledge of finance, law, and entrepreneurship to create healthier living systems for our future. Prior to a decade in entrepreneurship, he worked at several financial institutions. Ronnie focuses his creative energy on solutions to transcend humanity's greatest risks through collective intelligence.
