Tsai Shih Wei
Chai Jia Chai opened in Bangkok in November 2021 by Proprietor, and Chef Tsai Shih Wei, with a vision to be the first Cantonese Omakase restaurant in Thailand. Together with his life partner, Charanda Promma, the past two years plus have been an incredible journey.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Chef Tsai brings to this exceptionally innovative venture, a wealth of culinary experience of more than 25 year. His unique recipes, elevated Chinese cuisine, incorporating premium ingredients, many rarely seen outside China, influenced by his experience and international travels.
His revered signature dish of Alaskan King Crab porridge was inspired from the classic Marseille fish soup, his stylish version, meticulously prepared over eight hours and dramatically finished at tableside, fast becoming an equally treasured legend.
Moreover, he won Iron Chef Thailand 2023. He received the Thailand Favorite Restaurant 2023 award and is expected to receive an award this year as well. Also, he won the award for Top 25 restaurant.
