The Hungry Tapir is a plant-based eatery in the heart of Chinatown that sprouted up at the end of January 2020. Known for its local plates turned vegan, it also serves as a family restaurant, date spot and cocktail bar downtown. After surviving the pandemic and the transition of Chinatown with flourishing new independent and small businesses, its herd grew. LaGula was born and baked up in mid 2023. Who says you can't bake your (vegan) cake and pastries and eat it too?
