Taittinger
A world-renowned, award-winning Champagne House with origins dating back to 1734. The company was purchased by Pierre Taittinger in 1931 and is still run by Clovis and Vitalie Taittinger. It continues to be owned and managed by the family whose name is on the label. Based in Reims, the company is one of the largest 'Domaine' owners in the region, with 288 hectares of vineyards in some of the region's best sites, including the prestigious Côte des Blancs. The Taittinger family was one of the first champagne houses to recognize the importance of using Chardonnay in production, which has become one of the house's signature grape varieties. The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is the finest example of the Taittinger House style and is always a vintage cuvée. It is made with 100% white grapes from the 5 villages with a Grands Crus classification for the Chardonnay grape (Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger).
