About Daniel Valencia‍

Daniel Valencia is the Head Bartender of MO Bar and PDT at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. A native of Colombia, he started his bartending career in Hong Kong at Eclipse Hospitality Group before joining Black Sheep Restaurants, where he led the beverage programme for six bars as Operations Bar Manager. He was appointed to join The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in September 2021 and led  MO Bar and PDT’s beverage programme in collaboration with chef Richard Ekkebus and Jeff Bell from Please Don’t Tell New York.

A bar within a bar, PDT Hong Kong is hidden in the mezzanine level on MO Bar and accessed only through a secret phone booth. The hip and intimate 25-seat speakeasy is a unique collaboration with the operators of the iconic New York cocktail bar PDT (Please Don’t Tell), featuring creative cocktails developed by renowned mixologist Jeff Bell, alongside a talented bar team led by New York transplant and Head Bartender Daniel Valencia.
